music

Why is it that listening to music in headphones is so more intimate? It is just me in my own big, spinning world. It is my new found hobby; to let all the demons of the day escape. There is an optimal volume: loud. An optimal song: nothing mainstream. An optimal beat: acoustic guitars and a great voice, that I imagine is singing to me and only me. It reminds me of a rainy, glorious, difficult day in B-town at the coffee shop. What a great memory!

if you like the acoustic guitar music, you should check out Ray Lamontagne. He's new, his first CD Trouble just came out this past year, and you can download some of his songs from www.raylamontagne.com.

He's really great, soulful, kinda a cross between Marvin Gaye and David Gray. I don't know if that's at all accurate, but it's what I think.

Anyway, give him a listen. I like your blog

It's like the guitar/orchestra/band/singer is literally inside your head...I love headphones! Not the tiny ear buds, but the big ol' padded ones that cover your whole ear!
